Welcome to Rakuen! A wonderful Region that is a chain of many diverse islands. This Region is different from other Regions. For one, there is no League and no Trainers that start their travels young. The Region is far too dangerous for that. Thankfully, the Rangers are the law enforcement and they run things rather strictly. Or some of them do. Some Rangers have turned to the dark side, and the Five Families seem to be causing more problems. In a Region filled with political problems, smuggling, and manipulating, who's side are you on?
Weather - Rather sunny with a crisp wind Swarms - Skitty. Skitty everywhere. Stuff - No current stuff! Keep an eye out for any upcoming events!
Currently, characters of all classes are wanted on all islands. Feel free to create to your heart's content!
02.24.2015 The site is coming along great! With a little more work and some tweaking here and there, everything should be set to go and we can start advertising and letting members flood in! Here's to a new start!
Overview. Since Pokemon battling is not supported in Rakuen, Pokemon here have no need for levels, abilities, or moves. Instead, each Pokemon species has innate powers which can be used to assist humans. You'll need their help to have any chance at navigating the dangers of the wilds. How you gain Pokemon differs by class (see the Teams thread here), this guide will explain how each type of Pokemon can be used on missions.
Type Abilities. Each Pokemon has access to one basic move, depending on their type and characteristics. These basic moves will assist you in overcoming most obstacles in missions and the wilds. They are generally dependent on type, and come in three levels of power.
Smash - various - crush an object
Tackle - various - shove an object
Cut - various - slice through an object
Cross - various - cross a gap or climb a sheer cliff
Burn - fire types - set an object on fire
Soak - water types - douse an object with water
Electrify - electric types - power electronic devices
Dig - ground types - dig up an object or around a barrier
Hidden Moves. Hidden moves are special moves that can only be used by specific Pokemon. A Pokemon's hidden move does not override its type ability, so a Pokemon may have more than one move- however, you can still only use the Pokemon once per thread, so choose wisely when choosing to utilize these Pokemon.
Surf - ride over water on a Pokemon's back
Magma - ride over lava on a Pokemon's back
Ride - ride over land on a Pokemon's back
Fly - travel to a different area
Teleport - teleport to the entrance of an area
Heal - heal an injured Pokemon
Rain, Hail, Sandstorm - cause said weather condition
